City of Melville Civic Centre to re-open Tuesday, 2 June

29 May 2020

The City of Melville Civic Centre will be re-opening to the public on Tuesday, 2 June 2020.

The City of Melville Civic Centre will be re-opening to the public on Tuesday, 2 June.

To ensure compliance with State Government directions and restrictions, we will be limiting the number of people within our Civic Centre to 20 people at a time. Visitors will also be required to provide ID and contact details for contact tracing.

While max capacity restrictions are in place, entrance to the Civic Centre will be through the Almondbury Road entrance only. We encourage visitors to park in car park off Almondbury Road for best access to the building.

If visitors are coming to collect their one roll of FOGO compostable kitchen caddy liners, entrance to the distribution point is not via the Almondbury Road entrance. Please walk around the building to the courtyard where we will be handing out liners, which is found at the back of the Civic Centre. Unfortunately we cannot allow shortcuts through the building due to the max capacity restrictions.

Due to the max capacity restrictions, we anticipate there may be a wait to enter the Civic Centre. We apologise for the inconvenience and encourage residents, where possible, to utilise our online services to do business with the City. Our online services allow residents to request services, report issues and make payments online. They can be accessed 24/7 through the City’s website.

If visitors are coming to the Civic Centre to make a payment, we kindly ask for card payment over cash for the health and safety of our staff.

Although our Civic Centre will be open, we will still only be accepting building and planning applications online as a safety precaution. If you have any planning or building questions, a member of our planning and building team will be available each day to answer questions. If you would like to see a specific member of our building and planning team, you will need to make an appointment through our customer service team. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We look forward to assisting residents at our Civic Centre from Tuesday, 2 June.
