There will be something for everyone at LeisureFit Melville on Friday, 29 March at the Healthy Lifestyles Expo 55+ with over 80 information stalls, displays, discussion corners, activities and free health checks available between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
The Healthy Lifestyle Expo is an Age –Friendly initiative proudly supported by the City Of Melville, City of Fremantle, City of Cockburn and Seniors Recreation Council.
LeisureFit Melville will be offering free opportunities to try the Living Longer Living Stronger, Active Circuit and Forever Fit group fitness sessions at the ‘Have a Go Studio’ running each hour at 10.45am, 11.45am and 12.45am.
City of Melville Mayor Russell Aubrey said it was never too late to adopt a healthy lifestyle which was one of the community aspirations identified in the development of the Strategic Community Plan. The expo is a great opportunity for people to learn about all the different ways they can start their journey to a healthier and more active way of living.
”People often struggle to keep active and stay connected for a variety of reasons and many of the stalls at the expo are there to provide you with information to explore your options – it’s never too late!”.
Some of the stalls will include free health checks, Black Swan Health, Chorus, Diabetes WA, the Public Transport Authority, Transperth, WA Seniors Card and Cycling Without Age are just a few of the stalls that will be available at the expo. This is a free event, all ages are welcome, light refreshments will be available.
