The free, family friendly concerts, offer two unmissable, relaxing evenings, set within the unique Limestone Amphitheatre in Booragoon.
Carbon Taxi, the highly versatile and renowned Perth based cover band will perform at the January concert. Carbon Taxi’s two vocalists, keyboardist and guitarist will captivate the audience with a variety of music, from sophisticated to high energy dance music and everything in between.
City of Melville Mayor Russell Aubrey said the annual concerts were a popular date in the City’s summer’s event calendar, with this finale set to be the best yet.
“The Limestone Concerts always draw a big crowd, with families and friends really embracing the live music and filling the amphitheatre dancefloor,” Mayor Aubrey said.
“There’s always such a great atmosphere.
“This year’s cover bands offer a fantastic line up of artists and is a great event for the community to come together to enjoy an evening of entertainment.
“Fear not. This might be the last Limestone Concert Series held at the distinctive Limestone Amphitheatre; but we plan to host a series of summer concerts in the future.”
The second and final concert on Sunday, 25 February will feature six-piece, rock and roll band Chain Reaction. Their fun filled and energetic performances are engaging and highly entertaining.
“Chain Reaction’s music is easily recognisable and enjoyed by all ages, which is why, due to popular demand, we have brought them back for a second time in the history of this iconic event,” Mayor Aubrey said.
Both concerts are free and will be held from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Limestone Amphitheatre located at 10 Almondbury Road, Booragoon, in the courtyard area between Garden City Shopping Centre, Melville Civic Centre and the Civic Square Library.
Free parking is available off Davy Street, in the Civic Square Library car park and off Almondbury Road behind Hoyts Garden City.
