What is Being Proposed?
A variation is sought to the proposed building height on the proposed development of a four-storey, multiple dwelling development on 4 Colleran Way, Booragoon.
The proposal was advertised as 4-storey development and now it is regarded as a 5-storey development due to modifications proposed to the basement level.
We are now seeking community comment for the proposed building height as measured in storeys, despite the development meeting the prescribed height limit when measured in metres.

Why are we advertising this application? The application was previously advertised as it requires a performance assessment in relation to the proposed plot ratio, provision of visitor parking and side setbacks. Due to changes to the basement design the building height now requires a performance assessment and therefore the application is being advertised a second time.
How do we assess this development? As a part of the City’s assessment it will take into account the relevant provisions of City of Melville Local Planning Scheme No.6, and relevant state and local planning policies.
At the completion of the assessment a Responsible Authority Report will be complied by City officers and sent to the DAP to assist it in making a final decision.
As a part of the assessment process the Responsible Authority Report may be called up to Council for its consideration.
