The playground at John Dickenson Reserve is due for renewal, and the City asked what style of playground you would like to see there, and your preferred colour palette for the equipment.
We presented four distinct design options, each with unique features, and invited the community to vote for the preferred choice.
Engagement was open from 12 November to 3 December 2025, and we received 92 submissions. The results across Options 1, 2 and 4 were extremely close, prompting a follow-up confirmation process with some participants to ensure the final outcome accurately reflects community preference.
The preferred colour palette was neutral, receiving 59.8% of all votes.
