Winthrop Reserve Change Room Renewal

Winthrop Reserve is set to receive new change rooms

Project Information

The City of Melville is currently working through a City-wide sporting facility change room renewal program which forms part of our Active Reserve Infrastructure Strategy (ARIS).  Winthrop Reserve is set to receive improvements in 2021/22.

The intended works will provide sporting associations, clubs and user groups with fit-for-purpose and fully accessible change room facilities. The works will include universal access toilet, umpires room and storage. This supports an increased demand from all sports for non-gender specific facilities catering for female participation in sport.

The contract for Architectural services for the refurbishment of the Winthrop Reserve facility has been awarded, concepts have been drawn and the scheme has been approved.

At this stage, it is scheduled that the construction of the renewal works will commence early 2022 (subject to change).

As we are in the early stages of this project specific details relating to the expected impact and timeframe are not yet available. Further updates will be regularly provided on this webpage with additional communications to the allocated sporting clubs and local residents.
