The City of Melville allows for the installation of memorials within public land, in the form of an aluminium seat with a plaque attached to the backrest. The applicant is required to pay the cost of the supply and installation, prior to any works being carried out. Into the future the applicant will also be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the plaque, whilst the City will maintain the seat and concrete pad.

Whilst the city will consider your suggested location please note that the request will not be accepted for Point Walter Foreshore, Deep Water Point Reserve, Bicton Quarantine Park, Jeff Joseph Reserve or locations where additional seating is not required.

To request a memorial complete the Application Form and forward it back to the City. Your request will then be assessed and if accepted you will be forwarded a quote for payment. Upon receipt of payment the City will arrange the manufacture and installation of your memorial.

The process can be quite lengthy so please allow us and yourself enough time and be sure to read the Terms and Conditions before submitting your application.
