Project Information
As per Council resolution CD18/8107, there is a requirement for a small amenities building consisting of two change rooms, universal access toilet and kitchenette to provide a basic level of infrastructure to support reserve use. The City of Melville is awarding a construction contract for the amenity building at Bert Jeffery Park, Murdoch. As per the below timeline, construction works will commence mid October and are estimated for completion by the end of the calendar year (December 2020).
Please see the ‘Related Information’ section below for an image of the ‘Builders Compound Fence Line’, the builder’s compound will be in place for the duration of the construction and will have temporary fencing, hoarding and signage installed. All trees on site are to be retained and protected during the construction of the amenity building at Bert Jeffrey Park.
The playground will be unavailable for approximately one week from mid to late October while the current swing set is relocated adjacent to the west of the playground (Johanson Promenade side).
At times throughout the construction period, traffic management will be in place which may cause temporary changes to access around the construction site.
No trees will be removed to build the amenity building at Bert Jeffery Park, a number of precautionary measures are being taken to support the existing trees during construction and to ensure they continue to thrive.
A design poster including images, a site plan and floor plans for the building is located in the ‘Related Information’ section below.
