Information about reporting faulty street lights in the City of Melville
Each year the City spends in excess of $1m on street lighting. Street lighting is provided to the City by Western Power who supply, maintain and upgrade all lights. Western Power however does not guarantee that all lights will be operational every evening.
The Australian Standard for street lighting allows for up to 5% of lights being non-operational at any time. Under an agreement with the City, Western Power will repair reported street light faults within 10 working days. Western Power has established a dedicated hotline for these reports - 1800 622 008.

The only information Western Power requires is the street and location or number. Every faulty light is a service we are paying for that is not being delivered. Your assistance in keeping our street lights fully functional is appreciated.
