Wireless Hill Centenary 2012 - Talking to the World
As the City of Melville moves towards the Centenary Celebrations in 2012 of the site as a wireless station of national significance, plans are taking shape to incorporate a wide variety of events around the theme.
The 100th anniversary of the site will take place on the 30th of September, which inaugurate a month long celebration of activties, including:

the launch of a new museum display,

a wireless themed sculpture walk,

childrens' festival,
-
world wide radio link up, and
-
school holiday activities.
As part of the centenary celebrations the site will under go some major transformations, as the site is upgraded as a result of the Wireless Hill Visioning process.
The anniversary next year will also provide ideal opportunity to launch the long term 2020 vision to the public, as outlined in the Interpretation Plan and Concept Plan.
