Next steps in neighbourhood development

The 4 Neighbourhood Plans are going to Council in August 2009 and will be available on this website in September/October 2009. An on line opportunity will be provided for the community to contribute ideas and promote their community activities.  

The neighbourhood plans will guide local place making.

A community well–being survey was conducted in June/July 2009 and once analysed the results will provide another step in neighbourhood development.

A further step will be the implementation of a community engagement framework for the City of Melville. This is due to be released in late 2009.

People, Places, Particpation – A Community Plan for the City of Melville 2007 – 2017 will be reviewed in 2011 and will incorporate the community’s  ideas, thoughts and suggestions that have resulted from the neighbourhood development process.
