Winners Announced from Early Rates Payment Competition
The delighted winners of the prizes from the early rates payment competition were announced by the Mayor Russell Aubrey at last night’s Council meeting (Tuesday, 20 September 2011).
The early rates payment competition winners were:
- Christopher Meston of Willagee who won a Le Beau Day Spa, Couples Pamper Package valued at $500.00.
- Satrinder Singh from Mount Pleasant who won a $500.00 shopping spree from Stockland Bull Creek Shopping Centre.
- Ian Knight of Kardinya who won five cooking classes from Matters of Taste Cooking School valued at $600.00.
- Joyce Cook from Mount Pleasant who won a three-month Premier Club Gym membership from the City of Melville’s Lifestyle Services for her and a friend valued at $736.00.
- Belinda Farrell from Willagee who won a Westpac Bonus Savers Account of $3,000.00. Westpac’s Transactional Relationship Manager Angelo Daniele presented the prize.
Mayor Aubrey said the prize winners demonstrated there were benefits to paying rates early and in full.
“It’s cheaper than part payments so it makes good sense to pay your total rates early,” he said.
"Early ratepayers also go in the running to win one of several fantastic prizes, for which I thank our generous sponsors.
“You have to be in it to win it! so next year I encourage all ratepayers to pay their rates early and in full.”
Rates pay for more than 200 products and services including seniors services, youth activities, maintaining parks and gardens and public infrastructure.
