Residents Invited to Popular Point Walter Family Concert

Mayor Russell Aubrey said the event was an opportunity to celebrate friends, family and community.

“The Point Walter Family Concert and Fireworks is a spectacular evening which continues to grow in popularity every year. The headline act is Tod Johnston’s energetic band Peace, Love & All That Stuff to which attendees can dance the night away.

“The event is supported by Lotterywest and will cater for the whole family with a range of children’s entertainment including: face painting; a large bouncy castle; balloon-modelling clowns; and an opportunity to learn circus skills.

“There will be energetic displays of dance from the fantastic group The Dance Collective and a fire-twirling demonstration by the amazing Fire N’ Motion group. This year’s special guest, The Bad Piper, will entertain everyone with his very unique bag piping skills.

“The night will conclude with a truly breathtaking display of fireworks.

“The Point Walter Family Concert and Fireworks is free and presents a great opportunity for the community to celebrate with one another. It is just one of many exciting events to be held in the City this year.”

Concert attendees can purchase food and drinks from Walters River Café or are welcome to bring along their own picnics.

The Point Walter Family Concert and Fireworks will be held at Point Walter Foreshore, Via Honour Avenue or Burke Drive, Bicton on Sunday, 6 March from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
