Premiership Footballer to Launch Premier Fitness Club in Melville

The City is pleased to announce Jakovich as the number one pass holder of the Premier Club, which offers access to all three City of Melville health centres and a range of great fitness programs and services.

Families and individuals are invited to join Jakovich at the launch of the Premier Club at Melville Aquatic Fitness Centre on Sunday, 21 October, from 11.00am to 2.00pm. There will be a free sausage sizzle and great spot prizes throughout the day.

Mayor Katherine Jackson said the City of Melville’s three premier recreation facilities – Melville Aquatic Fitness Centre and Leeming and Melville recreation centres – continued to lead the way in the provision of health and fitness services, programs and remained a focal point in the community. “Our recreation facilities have fully equipped gymnasiums with friendly, professional gym instructors, more than160 fitness classes per week and team sports to help you achieve a healthy and active lifestyle,” she said. “The new Premier Club gives members access to all of this and more.”

Jakovich, a local resident, said he was passionate about promoting and educating a healthy lifestyle within the City of Melville community. “I regularly use the local fitness facilities, including the gym and pools, and believe they are a great way for people of all ages and abilities to stay fit and healthy,” he said.

Premier Club membership includes access to: 

·         Pools at Melville Aquatic Fitness Centre and Leeming Recreation Centre

·         Group fitness, aqua and circuit classes at all centres

·         Spa, sauna and steam room

·         Forever Fit, Xpress Fit, Life Ball and Living Longer Living Stronger classes

·         Pilates, yoga and RPM/group cycling

·         Consultation with a personal trainer and one personal training session

·         Tennis court hire and casual basketball court hire

·         Squash court hire at Leeming Recreation Centre.
