The City of Melville has today invited families with young children to attend its annual Little Hands Children’s Festival on Sunday, 24 October.

The Little Hands Children’s Festival is designed for children under the age of 12 and will offer a range of free, fun activities including: arts and craft; children’s dance parties; face painting; sing-a-longs; a bouncy castle; balloon modelling; animal nursery; and Constable Care.

Mayor Russell Aubrey said the Little Hands Children’s Festival, which is held in a different location each year, would this year take place at Quarantine Park in Bicton from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

“The timing of the festival is one month after the Royal Show and is the perfect option for people whose children would enjoy another showground-type experience, without the cost, crowds and parking issues,” he said.

“Entry and all activities are free. Food and drink will be available to purchase on the day.

“This enjoyable children’s festival is a wonderful way for the whole family to spend quality time with their little ones.”

Residents and visitors who wish to attend are encouraged to park at Rob Campbell Reserve on the corner of Preston Point Road and Phipps Street, Bicton. The Little Hands Children’s Festival is proudly supported by Lotterywest.
