City’s Festival is Hands on For Little Residents
The City of Melville Little Hands Children’s Festival is once again set to entertain and inspire its crowds on Sunday, 11 November 2007.
The free family event, now in its third year, aims to bring the community together, especially the kids, to participate in a range of hands-on activities, community displays and entertainment.
Mayor Russell Aubrey said the Little Hands Children’s Festival was a major event on the City of Melville’s calendar. “It is a fantastic and fun day out for the whole family, “he said. “Children will be delighted by the range of activities and entertainment at the festival.”
The Little Hands Festival has something for everyone with a range of activities and entertainment, including belly dancing, puppet making, cubbyhouse building, climbing wall, art activities, airbrush tattoos, competitions and prizes and an animal ark.
One of the main highlights of the festival will be the Stockland Bull Creek Kinetic Theatre Performance. The amazing ‘Snorkelarama’ group will take audiences on a fun and intrepid adventure through the ocean, meanwhile forgetting that they are actually on land.
The Little Hands Children’s Festival will be held at its new location at Centennial Park on the corner of Parry Avenue and Benningfield Road, Bull Creek, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
