Point Walter Concert

The City’s annual Point Walter Concert was the biggest and best yet, with over 12,000 people of all ages coming together to enjoy festivities on Sunday, 4 March 2018. This event saw the iconic Point Walter foreshore transformed once again into a place for friends and families to come together and enjoy music, dancing and activities for all ages plus a grand fireworks finale to celebrate 50 years as a city. Thank you to all that attended and performed and to the fabulous team that worked behind the scenes. It certainly was a night to remember.

The wonderful fairies from the Freedom Fairies will be visiting us throughout the concert to paint faces and create magical balloon animals for all the girls and boys.

The river is also beautiful during this time of year, so don’t forget to bring your bathers.

Getting to the venue

Free parking is available at Attadale Foreshore with entry located off Tenson Street.

The parking area will be managed by the fantastic volunteers from the Melville State Emergency Services Unit and buses with trailers (for eskies etc) will be travelling all day to and from the event area.

If you wish to use public transport, visit the Transperth website to help you plan your journey.

If you are dropping anyone off, there will also be a drop off and pick up point located at the end of the large boat ramp car park. The Melville SES volunteers will also be there to assist.

Road closures

Please note that the small car park located closest to the Jetty will be closed for performer and emergency services parking. Guests with an ACROD sticker are also permitted to park in this area.

Carroll Drive will also be closed to prevent any potential damage to the golf course.

The large boat ramp car park will remain open for concerts guests as usual.

Wet weather plan

Even though we are sure the sun will be shining during our amazing concert; if it does look like unfavourable stormy weather, a wet wether update will be posted to this web page and also on our Facebook page.

Is this a dog friendly event?

While we all love our fur babies, the Point Walter Reserve and Foreshore is prohibited to dogs. They may also get a little frightened by the thousands of people, loud music and the bang of the fireworks, so if you could please leave them at home, we would greatly appreciate it.
