Boosting Mind and Mood in Seniors
A positive, interactive and informative workshop all about what the research says about positive ageing and provides suggestions for how to get the most out of your older years!
Includes discussion and exploration of aspects that contribute to good mental health; including regular physical activity, strong support networks; good nutrition, managing medications and falls; pain management strategies; the value of positive activities; and a discussion regarding the power of mindfulness and gratitude and its helpful role in emotional and physical well-being. Throughout the session participants are encouraged to discuss the suggestions and ideas for how they might like to integrate them into their own lives.
Facilitated by Lisa Brown, Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Professional from Kind Mindology as part of Safer Melville Month.
Time: 9.30am to 12noon
