Small Business Essentials - A forum for Your Business Our Future
Following on from the success of the inaugural Your Business Our Future forum in June 2016, the City of Melville and Melville-Cockburn Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) are partnering again in 2017 to bring the forum back with the theme this year of ‘Small Business Essentials’.
Your Business Our Future will be held on Wednesday, 31 May 2017, and will include presentations, an EXPO showcasing an array of business services, an opportunity for Q&A and a networking session.
A number of presentations are planned from industry experts, with some of the speakers including the Small Business Commissioner and Chief Economist from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA. Importantly a Q&A session is also scheduled.
The EXPO will showcase a range of services including human resources, training and development, small business resources, digital skills and NBN to name a few.
City of Melville Mayor Russell Aubrey said the forum‘s theme ‘Small Business Essentials’ aligned with the City’s commitment to help achieve the community aspiration for growth and prosperity.
“Through the development of our Strategic Community Plan in 2016, the community told us very clearly that one of their future aspirations is growth and prosperity which can be achieved in part by supporting small business,” said Mayor Aubrey.
Melville-Cockburn Chamber of Commerce President Tony Romano encouraged local small to medium businesses to attend and take advantage of having access to a range of services and information under one roof, as well as a fantastic networking opportunity.
“This is great opportunity for local business owners to participate in a forum designed to provide relevant information about issues that affect small business today and also provide participants with the opportunity to network and interact with other small business owners.” said Tony Romano.
Your Business Our Future will be held at the City of Melville Civic Centre on Wednesday, 31 May 2017 from 4.00pm to 8.00pm, at a cost of $64 for MCCC members and $74 for non-members including catering for the networking session.
The EXPO will run throughout the event, presentations will run between 4.30pm to 7.00pm, with the catered networking session closing the evening from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
