FAQ's for our Swim School program

Why attend swimming lessons?

Swimming provides development for your child cognitively, physically, mentally and socially. Swimming is attributed to good health and wellbeing.

Swim School Credit Policy

What is the credit policy if I cannot attend a lesson?

If you cannot attend a lesson due to illness, simply bring in a medical certificate and we will credit the cost of the missed lesson toward your enrolment for the next term.

No refunds or make up classes will be given.

How do I enrol?

If this is your first time, to our Pre-School, School Aged or Mini Squad program, or if you are returning after a break, you will need to contact the Centre and book in for an assessment.

My child has completed school swimming. Do they have to do an assessment before entering this program?

The skills your child learns at school swimming may be similar as those taught here, but the pass requirement of each level may be very different.

We have fewer levels than the school program, smaller classes and a higher skill requirement to pass each level, so it is unlikely your child will be in the same level here as they are at school.

Therefore, it is essential to have an assessment before you start to ensure your child is in the most appropiate level for their ability.

This will ensure the maximum benefit and enjoyment for your child.

Can I enrol without payment?

Customers may not enrol without payment. We therefore cannot hold a place for any student.

If the School Term is less than ten weeks or I start after the first week has passed, how much do I pay?

Costs are calculated on a pro rata basis. The means if the term is less than ten weeks, or if you do not start until after the first week, then you will only pay for the lessons remaining.

If my child is going into an age-based class, what is the cut off age?

The child must be of that age by the time the class starts.

What if my child misses assessment week?

All students are assessed constantly throughout the term by their instructor, not necessarily on any given week.

In week eight of the current term you will be given notification from your instructor whether your child has passed or if they will be staying in the same level.

What is the last day I may enrol in the program?

No one may enrol or transfer classes later than week four of the current term for school aged, pre-school adult and/or EZY swim classes.

Do you offer make up lessons?

We do not offer make up lessons.

How do I know where my lesson will be on the first day?

Each class and each student will be allocated an area for their swimming lessons. This area can be found on the receipt when you book in and/or on our Swim School noticeboard at the centre. This will be available for the first few weeks of the term.

Feel free to check out the attached map for areas for Swim School

Do you run on public holidays?
