Membership

Library membership is free and any W.A. resident is eligible to become a member.

Membership forms are available from all our libraries or can be downloaded here.

For anyone aged 18 years or older
All you need to do is visit one of our libraries with written proof of your name and current address, for example driver's licence or bank statement.

For those under 18
A parent or guardian will need to visit one of our libraries to sign the membership register on your behalf. Your parent or guardian will also need to show proof of their name and current address. More information is available in A Young Person's Guide to Joining City of Melville Libraries.

Loan Entitlements

Library members can borrow 12 items for 3 weeks and items can be renewed twice by phone. The renewal period is for an additional 3 weeks. Items for loan include:

• Books
• Magazines
• CD-ROMs
• Talking Books on cassette and CD
• Music CDs
• Videos
• DVDs
