Winter School Holiday Fun!
Programs for Kids
Ranger Red's Wildlife Show
Suitable ages 4+
Monday, 16 July
THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN BOOKED TO CAPACITY
Come to Piney lakes to meet Ranger Red and his cool native animal friends. He will tell you all about how special our native wildlife is and how he looks after them. You will get to meet and touch animals such as long-necked turtles, carpet pythons, bobtail lizards, green tree frogs, tawny frogmouths, western blue-tongued lizards and more (maybe even a dingo if we're really lucky)!
Worm-farming and Vegie Patches
Max 25 participants
Thursday 19 July
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Suitable ages 5 - 12
Learn how to make a worm-farm from Kevin (the Worm Shed, Chittering). Then join Annette (Piney lakes Volunteer) as she teaches you about community vegie patches and growing your own vegetables. Take home your mini-worm- farmss and watch them do their magic!
Winter Wetlands
Max 25 Participants
Friday 20 July
11:00am - 1:00pm
Suitable ages 5 - 12
Meet our superstar volunteers who can teach you about Piney Lakes wetland wildlife! Go on a short bushwalk to our natural wetland to listen and hunt for frogs and turtles, then return to the centre to search the water samples for little creatures. Find out what you can do to help our local waterways.

All activities cost $6.00 per child and may be paid in cash on the day.
Bookings are essential as places are limited.
