Location and Opening Times
Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre can be accessed from Leach Highway, Winthrop, between Murdoch Drive and Riseley Street.
Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre is open to the public on week-days from 9:30am - 3:00pm. The centre stocks information on sustainable living, gardening practices, environmental issues and native flora and fauna. The public is welcome to walk through at their own leisure and seek advice from environmental staff onsite.
For groups larger than 5, we ask that a booking be made prior to your visit, and we can accomodate a tour for you, subject to staff availability.
There is parking space for 50 vehicles and a large turning circle for buses in front of the centre.
Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre is also the base for the Melville Volunteer Resource Centre and carries information on community and volunteering in the City of Melville and the greater Perth metropolitan region.
