Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre is an innovative education centre showcasing the latest in renewable energy technologies and sustainable building design. Set in an urban bushland setting, this building offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the environment, healthy lifestyles and sustainable living.

 

Piney Lakes is not connected to mains power, mains water or mains sewerage. 

We make all our power on-site, catch all our water on-site and treat our sewerage on-site.  This means that our ecological footprint is low because we are our use of fossil fuels is minimal.

The Centre is located within 68 hecatres of bushland surrounded by housing.  It is a place place to truly escape from the noise , pollution and stress of our everyday lives. 

 

Piney Lakes offers:

  • School excursions (for all ages including Universities and TAFE).  We specialise in excursions linked to sustainability studies and ecology studies.
  • Venue Hire
  • Workshops and community seminars which aim to increase our understanding of sustainability.
