Friends of Environmental Groups
Get involved with your local environmental group.
Melville has more than 100 volunteers from the local area who help on a
regular basis to undertake work in the City's lovely bushland, wetland and river
foreshore reserves. These groups work in conjunction with the City of Melville
to undertake a variety of activities, including collecting seed for
revegetation, planting activities in Winter and removing weeds from certain
areas. these local people have a great deal of enthusiasm and experience in
working in your local bush or foreshore, and are always looking for extra hands.
Most groups have a fun, social aspect to them and involve getting school
groups and others involved in helping to preserve the environment.
