This ongoing project aims to improve erosion control along the foreshore and create areas of natural habitat as well as facilitating recreational use of the foreshore area.  Erosion control techniques being used include rock revetment to reinforce badly eroded areas, the installation of coir logs at the high water level and planting of sedge species behind the coir logging.  Areas of dryland planting along the recently upgraded mixed use path complete the restoration of natural areas along this stretch of foreshore.
