This three phased project involves the removal of dead Casuarina’s on the Attadale West foreshore.  The trees will be replaced with Melaleuca raphiophylla, Melaleuca cuticularis and Eucalyptus rudis.  This project was initiated in 2005, consultation with the local community was undertaken and a masterplan drawn up for a phased removal and replacement of the trees.  Phase 1 tree removals and plantings were completed in 2006. Weed control has been undertaken in 2007 and Phase 2 and 3 tree removal, planting and weed control will be undertaken in 2008. The program of works are as follows:
