Biodiversity is the number and variation of living organisms within a given area. The higher the degree of biodiversity, the healthier the ecosystem. The City of Melville encourages planting local native flora in your garden to enhance biodiversity and encourage more native fauna to inhabit the area.

Local Plant Subsidy Scheme

In May each year, the City of Melville participates in the Local Plant Subsidy Scheme. Residents can obtain up to 30 local plants at the subsidised price of $1.50 each from APACE in North Fremantle. Read More …
