The Melville Youth Advisory Council will be offering free youth arts workshops between March and April, in the inaugural Art Spark series. These workshops and events have been created by young people, for young people of the Melville area.
through the YAC young people have been involved in every stage of the development process, from project management and programming to marketing.
Occurring in the lead-up to and during National Youth Week, Art Spark 2012 will offer young people in the Melville area the chance to explore the arts and learn from experts in a variety of fields including: creative writing, photography, dance, theatre and body art. The festival will culminate in a public concert and art showcase at Kadidjiny Park Amphitheatre on Sunday 29th April.
Art Spark is a joint initiative of City of Melville and Propel Youth Arts WA.
The Melville Youth Advisory Council consists of engaged Melville youth interested in promoting youth interests and making a difference within their own community.
Propel Youth Arts WA is the peak body for youth arts in Western Australia dedicated to creating opportunities for young people to engage in the world of art.
