Bloomers
Bloomers is the City of Melville's school-based young women's program which aims to improve the emotional wellbeing of young women.
With a wide range of activities, Bloomers has something for everyone. At Bloomers you can hang out, meet new people, catch up with friends and just have fun. This exciting girls-only program focuses on creating self confidence in young women, and is staffed by three City of Melville workers.
Bloomers 2011
In 2010, Bloomers was run with a group of Year Ten girls from Melville Senior High School. These young women recieved the opportunity to experience heaps of awesome activities including jewellry making, paintball, go-karting, screen printing, kickboxing and much more. The program also provided them with a visit to Family Planning WA and a presentation from Save-a-Mate, as well as a range of other educational tours and talks.
In 2011, the program will be taking place at Melville Senior High School and Rossmoyne Senior High School. Registration and medical forms can be found in the 'Attachments' section of this page. Please not that alternative accessible copies of these forms can be requested.
