Go Wild! in Willagee and Bull Creek 2008

The City of Melville would like to thank all participants in our ‘Go Wild! 2008’ programs; residents, service providers, volunteers, staff and sponsors for participating in our ‘Go Wild 2008’ programs, held in the suburbs of Willagee and Bull Creek.

Your support and contribution was invaluable and feedback from participants was very positive.  I hope that as a result of your contribution an increased number of seniors access and recommend your service.

Our prize winning entries have been drawn and Stockland Bull Creek Shopping Centre Management will be awarding the prizes to our competition winners at a morning tea at the Bull Creek Community Centre.

The winner of our ‘Best Tips’ competition on how to stay both mentally and physically healthy, had the following advice to give:

 Best Tips For:

Staying young at heart :  Exercise in a social group, smile and laugh with strangers.

Beating loneliness: Commit yourself to an activity, help occasionally with grandchildren.

Staying mentally healthy:  Travel with or without a friend.

Connecting yourself to others in your community: Volunteer in a position you will enjoy once a week.

If you have any ideas, feedback or comments about either program, please email Roberta.Gripton@melville.wa.gov.au
