Community Safety Service (CSS)
The CSS is a 24 hours, 7 day a week mobile patrol service, with someone available to talk to 24 hours a day. The CSS can be contacted on 1300 653 643, however for criminal matters always call the police on 131 444.
The role of the CSS is to observe, monitor and report suspicious behaviour to police. It aims to create a safer, more secure community through a mobile surveillance and liaison service, and is an important part of achieving the City’s shared vision of a Safer Melville.
