The drilling of the replacement bore commenced on Tuesday 2 March 2010. Testing of the bore should be complete by 12th March 2010. The Leeming SHS and Leeming Cricket Club have been asked not to use the turf surface as it presents a safety hazard. It is estimated that the surface will be playable in Late April 2010 and access will be granted at that time. The City will remain its direct contact with the clubs and schools to keep them informed and ensure further degradation to the turf surface does not occur.
