Sporting clubs and those that have hired the facility have been advised.

Active Reserve turf maintenance

The City is applying granular gypsum to the following reserves:

*  Shirley Strickland (Ardross),

*  Beasley Reserve (Bull Creek),

*  Len Shearer Reserve (Booragoon).

The gypsum will be applied so that there is low dust and will be watered in on application.  Works are commencing 29/4/2013.

*  Somerville Reserve (Murdoch)

*  Ric Vosper Reserve (Bateman)

Works are commencing 2/5/2013.

Signage will be erected at each reserve until the herbicide dries on the leaf.  Both applications will be low impact to sporting clubs and the general public.

Dinghy prohibition and community consultation process

Two workshops were held (8th and 11th May) to offer the community an opportunity to discuss the City's transition to this policy and to identify how to manage the transport and launching of dinghy’s around the river.

The workshops are open to all members of the community with two dates available, ensuring people have a good opportunity to attend.

John Connell Reserve (Dimond Court) spectator seating

The spectator area at John Connell Active Reserve (Dimond Court Leeming) comprising of concrete slabs and stairs has partially collapsed due to erosion.

The City has advised the bowling, soccer and cricket clubs of this and has engaged contractors to undertake investigation and reinstatement works.
