PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING – Perth Waterways THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IS WARNING PEOPLE TO AVOID CONTACT WITH WATER IN PERTH RIVERS. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SWIMMING, SAILING AND FISHING TO BE AVOIDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE AND NOTIFICATION IS RECEIVED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO RECOMMENCE USING THE WATERWAYS. The City is responsible for various Environmental Health duties and initiatives, providing services to residents and business proprietors and help to ensure compliance with the Health Act and its Regulations, the Environmental Protection Act relating to noise pollution, and the City of Melville's Local Health Laws.

In addition to monitoring compliance, the City of Melville also provide mediation services and more importantly, provide an educational service to all residents and businesses who require advice to comply with legislation and to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. |
