Easy Access Parking

Making Melville more accessible.

Facilities

Disability access audits have been undertaken on many City of Melville facilities such as publis toilets, parking, recreation centres, libraries, cultural facilities and some reserves. Information describing accessible features at these facilities along with photographs is available on the online maps page of the City's website.

Tell us which places or facilities you have found accessible and those you have found difficult to access by emailing your comments to the Community Development Officer – Access and Inclusion.

Parking

There are many accessible parking bays at facilities throughout the City. For information on how to apply for an ACROD Parking Permit, please contact National Disability Services WA (who manage the ACROD parking program in WA) on (08) 9242 5544, e-mail ndswa@nds.org.au or by visiting the ACROD Parking Program website.

Ticketing concession arrangements

Double the allocated parking time: At car parks in the City of Melville with Pay & Display Ticket Machines, ACROD parking permit holders must still purchase a ticket and display it on the dashboard. They can then park in any bay and the ticket will remain valid for double the time purchased. For example, if a ticket is purchased for two hours, it will remain valid for four hours.
