Community Sport and Recreation Facilities Funding (CSRFF)

The purpose of the CSRFF program is to provide State Government financial assistance to community groups and/or local government authorities to develop basic infrastructure for sport and recreation.

The program aims to increase participation in sport and recreation with an emphasis on physical activity, through rational development of sustainable, good quality, well-designed and well-utilised facilities.

The City of Melville plays a pivotal role in the development of community sport and recreation facilities and services, and is required to prioritise and rank CSRFF applications.

Grants are administered through the Department of Sport and Recreation and will be no greater than one third of the total cost of the project. Community groups/Clubs are also required to contribute to the total costs of the proposed project.
