Local History Centre

The City of Melville collects and preserves historical information and artefacts within the Local History Centre at Wireless Hill Museum. These items include:

  • Artefacts;
  • Photographs;
  • Oral history interviews;
  • Newspaper articles;
  • A reference library collection; and
  • History publications about the City of Melville & Melville area.

Research facilities

The City of Melville Local History Centre has a local history reference collection. The public files of the collection are available Tuesday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm. Please contact Wireless Hill Museum before visiting.


For a fee, we can supply copies of photographs for research, presentation, or personal use.
