ASSESSMENTS / ENROLMENTS

Assessments

If this is your first time, to our Pre-School, School Aged or our Transition/Teen/Youth program, or if you are returning after a break, you will need to contact the Centre on 9364 0800 and book in for a complimentary assessment.

This is also essential for those of other Swim Schools as each Swim School is different or those that have completed the Education Department Swimming Program.

Enrolments

Enrolments can only be completed in person at the Centre at our dedicated Swim School Reception Desk during their opening hours.

  • Only EFTPOS payments are taken at the Swim School desk. AMEX not accepted
  • Those in age based classes must be of that age by the time the term begins
  • Last day for enrolments for all programs is the end of Week 3 of that term

Re-enrolments

All students currently in the program will be given preference to re-enrol into the following term before places are opened up to new / former clients within the allocated weeks. Students will be provided with a re-enrolment form from their Swim Instructor in Week 9 along with their level certificate. Parents are encouraged to speak to a Swim School Officer if they will be away this week to obtain their form earlier.

As our Swim School operates on a term to term basis, students will need to manually re-enrol into the program each term. Places will not be held or rolled over term to term.

Re-enrolments will take place in two phases: Current Clients – Same Day and Current Clients – Change of Day.

Same Day re-enrolments will commence in Week 9 of term. Therefore, upon receiving their re-enrolment form, parents may see a Swim School Customer Service Officer at the reception desk to process their enrolment form or place their completed form in the drop box. Same Day re-enrolments mean that if you are currently in a Monday, you may re-enrol back into Monday. Please note our Swim School reception desk operating times. It should be noted that ALL enrolments into our School Holiday XLR8 program will open in Week 9 too.

Change of Day re-enrolments will commence in Week 10. Students choosing to change their day for the following term may re-enrol as of this week.

To ensure a smooth / quick transaction, parents are encouraged to:

  • Staple all siblings forms together if choosing to use the drop box option
  • Complete all class options and payment details if choosing to use the drop box option
  • Have your re-enrolment form with you when enrolling at the reception desk. Staff can not process your request without this
  • Place on the re-enrolment form if you have any credits we have to be mindful of. See Credit Policy for more details.

CREDIT POLICY

Credits for the current term will only be given to those that provide a medical certificate indicating a physical impairment that affects the ability of the child or parent to participate in lessons. Medical Certificates must be from a doctor with whom there is no close personal relationship, and produced within one week of the missed lesson.

  • All credits are valid for the following term only
  • Credits cannot be back dated for previous terms
  • No refunds will be given
  • Make up lessons are not available

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) How do I know where my lesson will be on the first day?

Each class and each student will be allocated an area for their swimming lessons as seen below. This area can be found on the receipt when you book in and/or on our Swim School noticeboard at the Centre. This will be available for the first few weeks of the term.

2) Do you run on public holidays?

Our swim school does not operate on public holidays unless stated.

3) What options are available if I want to continue swimming but no longer fit into the Learn to Swim Program offered through the Swim School?

Our Swim School does provide options for youth and teens to continue to swimming in our Youth Swim and Teen Swim programs to keep up their fitness within the sport. Adult SwimFit programs are also available on our timetable on the weekends.

However, if individuals would like to get involved in a more social aspect of the sport and potentially work towards competitive swimming and swim meets, we offer a LeisureFit Competition Swim Program with speciality coaching and sessions during the week.

4) Do you offer trial classes for baby classes so I can see if my little one will enjoy it before enrolling?

Yes, we offer Infant Aquatic Trial classes for ages 6 - 36 months for a casual visit of $16.00 a session. Terms and conditions apply.

Assessments

All new and/or former clients must book in for a complimentary assessment during the allocated times.

  • Students exempt from this are those in the following classes – Aquababes, Parent & Child, Adults and Special Needs

Term Based Program

Flippa Swim School is not a continuous program.

A student must book into each term manually to secure a position based on the advertised enrolment weeks.

As each student completes each term, their Instructor will provide them with a re-enrolment form stating which level is recommended for the following term. Students wanting to enrol in the following term may:

  • Fill out the re-enrolment form in full (including credit card details) and place it in the appropriate secured drop box for processing or
  • See the Swim School Reception Desk with their re-enrolment form during their operating hours of the appropriate week for enrolments to have their form processed

Classes chosen must reflect the classes advertised on corresponding Swim School timetable for the chosen term.

Students enrolling over the counter will receive a confirmation receipt upon the time of enrolment.

All students will receive a confirmation email from the Flippa Swim School before the term begins with their class details.

At the beginning of term, names of all current students will be placed on the Swim School noticeboard outlining their Instructors name, class name, class time and the location of their session for their reference.

We do not offer make up lessons.

Parents are highly recommended to disclose any medical conditions of their children upon enrolment to allow the Flippa Swim School to best accommodate their child within the program.

It is also advised to discuss any special requirements with their child’s instructor or an On-Deck Officer.
