Public Art Opportunity - ART IN PLACE

The City of Melville is seeking proposals from experienced Artists or Artist Teams to develop and deliver a new temporary public artwork for the City’s ART IN PLACE program.

ART IN PLACE is the inaugural series of temporary public artworks commissioned by the City of Melville.

The program aims to directly engage the City’s residents and visitors with contemporary art production, creating new experiences, encounters and interventions responsive to specific sites within the City of Melville.

RFQ Proposal Deadline: 5pm AWST Tuesday 6 March 2018
Budget: $40,000 excl. GST

The Arts eNews is a monthly enewsletter promoting cultural events and activities taking place in the City of Melville and surrounding suburbs. The newsletter is emailed on the second Thursday of each month to over 2,500 subscribers with local artists and arts organisations invited to share their news (showing, selling, seeking etc) with the community.

'Adopt-a-stop' Bus Shelter Program
School groups, community organisations and individual artists are encouraged to enliven local bus shelters through the City's adopt-a-stop program.

PHAZE Urban Art
PHAZE is the City of Melville's youth urban art program, which runs sessions from Leeming Skate Park, John Creaney Skate Park and Melville Skate Park.

Public Art  and Community Art Projects
The City of Melville invites artists and creative teams to submit Expressions of Interest for public art and community art projects to be included in City buildings, facilities and public spaces.

Heathcote Museum and Gallery
The City of Melville's multi-arts and cultural gallery invites emerging and established artists, curators, community groups and people wanting to exhibit material within a social history context to submit proposals for exhibitions each year.
