The Sculpture Walk has undergone a transformation and in June 2018, the City of Melville is launching its inaugural ART IN PLACE initiative bringing temporary public artworks to significant locations across the City of Melville.

The first ART IN PLACE commission will be an ephemeral projection-based installation on to the body of water where the Swan (Derbarl Yerrigan) and Canning (Djarlgarro Beeliar) rivers meet. The projections will be illuminated on to boats – both moored and sailing.

The installation titled Confluence will be produced by Perth-based artists, VJzoo (Kat Black and Jasper Cook), in collaboration with illustrator and artist Kambarni (Kamsani Bin Salleh).

Confluence will take place along the Canning Beach Road foreshore from Thursday, 21 June To Sunday 24 June 2018, nightly from 6:00pm to 8.30pm.
