City Ward

 

Background

As your fellow ward resident who previously served on the City of Melville Ratepayers Association, Neighbourhood Watch and currently with the Applecross SHS P&C , I share your aspirations for our local community.

I hold the Australian Institute of Company Directors diploma and have served on and chaired not-for-profit organisations.

Will support our new mayor Russell Aubrey (if elected) to strengthen the city’s financial position through tight budgetary control; improve asset management/service delivery; increase income streams on our city’s $800 million plus asset base to reduce reliance on the rates burden; maintain our debt free status; alleviate traffic congestion(Fiona Stanley Hospital).

Will scrutinise the risk exposure of all council investments against strict security benchmarks and push for rate increases NOT to exceed the CPI inflation rate to provide certainty for ratepayers and local business.

Will protect all seniors/ pension discounts and rebates from any future cost cutting measures.
