Leeming
This suburb is named after George Waters Leeming, a Surveyor in the Department of Lands who surveyed this district in 1886.
Although mainly residential, Leeming is also home to the Melville Glades Golf Club and The Rec, which opened in 1988.
Leeming remarkably has more than 160ha of parkland making up more than 25 per cent of the total suburb area. The suburb's John Connell Reserve and Ken Hurst Park are named after former Melville Councillors. John Connell Reserve provides both summer and winter sport for juniors and seniors including bowling, cricket, soccer, an archery club, golf, mini-golf and pigeon club. Active conservation groups include Friends of Ken Hurst Park and Greening Leeming.

Leeming Family Centre, managed by The Gowrie, supports a variety of community activities, while the PHAZE urban art project at Leeming Skate Park offers an outlet for creative young people.
