2007 Awards
Major awards received in 2007 included recognition in the area of access and inclusion.
People with Disabilities – The City of Melville was declared the winner in the Count Us In Award for Local Government at the Count Us In Awards 2007, presented in December. The State award was for two of the City’s initiatives to improve access and inclusion for all people in the municipality – the Activelink recreational program and the creation of the Piney Lakes Sensory Playground.
