Meetings Structure
Meetings structure at the City of Melville
Council recently resolved to move to an Agenda Briefing Forum/ Council structure for the way it conducts its meetings.
This has resulted in the abolishment of the Community & Technical Services Committee and the Development & Neighbourhood Amenity Committees, with these being replaced with an Agenda Briefing Forum.
What is an Agenda Briefing Forum?
It is a forum for Elected Members to become more informed on matters prior to formal consideration at the Ordinary Meeting of Council. The Briefing Forums encourage greater open dialogue between Elected Members, Officers and members of the public, and allow Elected Members to gain maximum knowledge and understanding of issues prior to presentation at the Ordinary Meetings of Council.
• Agenda Briefing Forum- Held on the First Tuesday of each month commencing March 2009 at 6.30pm in the Swan Room
• Ordinary Meeting of Council - Held on the Third Tuesday of each month commencing March 2009 at 6.30pm in the Council Chambers. Please refer to Schedule of Public Meetings for meeting dates.
Please note there are no Council Meetings in January. All meetings are held at the City of Melville's Civic Centre, 10 Almondbury Road, Booragoon. The public are welcome to attend all meetings.
Please note that time and location may be subject to change. Should you wish to confirm, please telephone Administrative Coordinator on 9364 0607.
