Community and Business Perceptions Survey - Results and Priorities

Results of the most recent Community and Business Perceptions Survey, conducted in 2010. The next survey is due to be conducted in late 2012.

The City of Melville conducts a Community Perception survey every two years.

A total of 400 residents and 101 businesses participated in the 2010 survey after being randomly selected, helping the City of Melville to evaluate and monitor our performance across a range of services and facilities we provide.

The survey, which was undertaken by CATALYSE Pty Ltd in May 2010, aims to improve facilities and the level of service provided within the City of Melville. The results help us to better understand community aspirations, measure community perceptions and identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.

The 2010 survey showed an overall 82 per cent of residents were satisfied with the City and its services, including 43 per cent who were delighted. Compared with 16 other local governments, the City was placed fifth and set eight residential along with six business industry standards.
