Wireless Hill Telecommunications Museum

Wireless Hill Telecommunications Museum is a Perth landmark and the site is of the first communications radio in Western Australia. The museum has a collection of equipment that displayed a range from early radio technology, to the modern sophisticated equipment, showing developments that have occurred.

The museum is an integral part of Wireless Hill Park, a total area of 40 hectares that has been developed as a nature reserve. The features include an abundance of native flora, and viewing towers that enable visitors to enjoy the panoramic views, barbecue and picnic facilities. Wireless Hill Telecommunications Museum is open by appointment; please call 9364 0155 to book in for a tour of the site and the museum.

Heathcote Museum and Gallery

Heathcote Museum and Gallery is located at the junction of two main rivers or the city of Perth in the district of Applecross. Come here to discover its history and view an exciting art exhibition from local artists. The Heathcote Museum and Gallery services the local city of Melville community as well as the metropolitan region of the city of Perth. The museum and gallery opens at 10.00am – 3.00pm on Tuesday to Friday and 11.00am – 3.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Heathcote Reserve is mainly the surrounds of the Heathcote Centre in Applecross. These manicured grounds are set on a cliff overlooking the Swan River. There are great views in all directions, and spectacular sunsets. The site is also home to a Children's Adventure Playground, a kiosk, cafe, a learning centre for Challenger TAFE courses and the new stylish Blue Grill restaurant.

 
Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre

The Centre provides a working demonstration of a range of sustainable development features and is unique in Australia. It is located within the Piney Lakes Reserve, a 68 hectare portion of natural bushland and recreational space which was developed by the City of Melville. Entry to the Centre is from the Leach Highway (south side), between Riseley Street and Murdoch Drive in Winthrop, Perth, Western Australia. Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre is an innovative education centre showcasing the latest in renewable energy technologies and sustainable building design.

Set in an urban bushland setting, this building offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the environment, healthy lifestyles and sustainable living. The opening hours for the centre is Monday to Friday at 9.00am – 3.00pm.


Point Walter golf course

Point Walter Golf Course is located on Honour Avenue Bicton. Whether you enjoy a round of golf or have a coffee and take in the tranquil setting, your visit to Point Walter Golf Course will be an enjoyable experience. It included scenic 9 hole golf course and grass tennis courts, hire equipment and motorised carts, café, weddings, business meetings and corporate days and function rooms available for hire.


Garden City Shopping Centre

Garden City is Perth’s Finest Shopping Centre offering a unique shopping experience with a superior range of fashion, food and lifestyle stores. Garden City is located on Riseley Street, which lies between Leach Highway and Canning Highway in Booragoon. It is less than 15 minutes from either the City or Fremantle and only 20 minutes from Cottesloe and Claremont.

The trading hours for Garden City Shopping Centre is 9.00am – 5.30pm on Monday to Friday,

9.00am – 9.00pm on Thursday and 9.00am – 5.00pm on Saturday.
