Councillor Steve Kepert

Applecross - Mount Pleasant Ward

Background

I was born and raised in the City of Melville, and although I’ve lived interstate and overseas at various times I've always called Melville home.

I’ve been engaged with numerous community groups over the years, including my time as a former player, reserves captain and committee member of the Brentwood Booragoon Football Club.

Professional Experience

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University and an MBA from the Curtin Graduate School of Business specialising in Leadership and Organisational Development.

My professional experience ranges from running small businesses, managerial roles in the public and private sectors and later as a self-employed business consultant.

Interests

I have a keen interest in economics and actively engage in discussions which lead to full employment, improve housing affordability and lower poverty.

I also have a strong interest in Australian military history, particularly involving the Western Front of the First World War and travel there wherever possible.
